Whoever thought the day would come when Christina Aguilera would turn to Nicole Richie for some tips on how to be an even better mama. Although the dame admitted she never really knew much about Richie in the past, she has recently become quite friendly with the former Simple Life starlet.
I didn’t know much about Nicole, but because our little ones are born one day apart and through mutual friends I’ve had the opportunity of getting to know her and I was blown away with how great of a mom she is, Aguilera told Tarts at her Post-AMAs party on Sunday night at the brand new Target Terrace at L.A Live. I actually ask her for advice because she has a lot of great things that she does for her little one. She’s even a little more stricter with battery operated toys and what not, she’s a great woman.
Aguilera was also quick to defend Richie who was once known as one of Tinseltown’s young troublemakers.
She doesn’t go out so much, maybe she goes to dinners. I really appreciate people that exude a lot of talent and hard work in what they do and having a child has made her grow so much as it has made me grow, Aguilera added. It just is inevitable that you’re going to grow when you have a little one, so anyone who’s giving anybody grief for going out and partying, they’re just trying to be negative and stir up drama and I have nothing but good things to say about Nicole. I have to say that.

Hi Christina Aguilera fans! I just wanted to take a brief moment to stop by and say hello to everyone and introduce myself. Im Sherry and I will be taking on the awesome task of keeping you all updated on all the Christina Aguilera news out there - from her music to her fashion to her personal life, Ill cover it all for you and keep you informed.
I started off as a closet Christina fan, listening to Genie In A Bottle over and over when everyone else I knew was listening to rock or goth music. Then I got tired of hiding that Im a big fan of pop music/top 40 and the rest is history.
I love Christinas powerful voice - the first time I saw her I had a hard time believing she was responsible for such mind-blowing vocals. Im very excited to be here to keep you up to date on whats going on in her life, and I hope youll stop by frequently and hang out with me in the comments.

At rehearsals this week for the 36th Annual American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre, one of the key executives for the show gushed that Sunday nights broadcast will have 19 performances, a record number: We called everyone on our dream list and they all said so we just had to make room! That effusive appraisal was met with a smile and a shrug by graybeard Al Schwartz, a consulting producer who has worked on the show since the Nixon administration.
Well, it is a great year, but the stars are coming because they need it more than ever. Albums dont sell like they used to. And even with the stars we have a tough fight ahead of us: Theres the premiere of and theres football on.
These are strange days for traditional music awards shows. The recording industry is still reeling, the concert-touring business is in retreat and television audiences have made it quite clear that their fascination lies with shows that create new celebrities, not the ones that honor existing stars.
In 2006, American Idol hammered the first hour of the Grammy Awards in head-to-head ratings competition. The following year the producers of the grand old awards show responded by reluctantly adding an imitation competition component to the broadcast.
also has sapped the AMAs of one of their defining traits, their proudly populist heritage; when the AMAs started in 1974, it was the show where music-buying fans picked the winners, not some rarefied academy. But if you cant beat them, book them: The AMAs are dotted with past contestants, with David Cook, Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, Chris Daughtry and David Archuleta all attending as nominees, presenters or both.
s hard to describe how much things have changed, said Schwartz, who took over as producer of the AMAs in 1974 but retired and became a consulting producer in recent years. When I started it was Helen Reddy and Lou Rawls and now that seems like a very long time ago when you listen to the music today. But the role of the show is just as different too.
This year the stars are rushing to the AMAs and making the most of their stage time, especially with the all-important holiday sales season ramping up. Not only is there a record number of performers, but the broadcast on ABC also will have a bit of a throwback approach by including medleys, that old variety show stand-by. Christina Aguilera, for instance, will open the show with a of her new greatest hits album, Keeps Gettin Better: A Decade of Hits, which is being sold exclusively through Target stores and the retail giants website and features 10 hits and two new songs.

Target has tapped upstart mobile media publisher Snakk Media to promote its exclusive sale of the deluxe version of Christina Aguileras Keeps getting better: A decade of hits.
Snakk Media, which launches in beta on Monday, has signed exclusive deals with 100 top bloggers to present their posts in a mobile-friendly format. Its first destination is 310.tv, where pop culture junkies can get the latest news, updated every five minutes, directly on their mobile devices.
Every day, we did one thing often, check the blogs. But, it was a terrible experience on the phones, said Joe Kavanaugh, vp of strategic development at Snakk Media. Snakk technology optimizes the experience for 9,000 handsets, including most notably the Apple iPhone and BlackBerry.
Prior to its launch, Snakk inked a wide swath of bloggers from DJ Steve Aoki to Glosslip and Blogcritics (the last two signed on prior to being acquired by Technorati).
Targets media buy includes banner ad placements at both the top and bottom of the mobile site. However, Kavanaugh said, advertisers will have the opportunity to create integrated campaigns with the bloggers sites, as well as through events.
The strength of the model is the constant updates, he said: Once you start reading, it becomes addictive.

New mom, Christina Aguilera, wants to make sure that all children receive a present with their name on it this year. “Can you imagine a childhood without toys?” says the star, “it breaks my heart to think about all the children in the world without the simple resources necessary for a happy, healthy and joyful childhood.”
That’s why Christina, along with 25 celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, designed a unique Visa Gift Card as part of the Star Cards for a Cause campaign benefiting the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. For each gift card sold, a $1 donation will be made to the charity, which purchases and distributes new toys to needy children at Christmas.
Christinas comments about the card:
I’ve always loved children, but as a new mother I find myself more inspired and excited now than ever to experience the world through new and curious eyes. Every child deserves the chance to explore their own imagination and the shining star within themselves. Can you imagine a childhood without toys? It breaks my heart to think about all the children in the world without the simple resources necessary for a happy healthy and joyful childhood.

Christina Aguilera will offer Keeps Getting Better: A Decade of Hits on November 11 exclusively at Target stores. Along with popular songs like Come On Over and the collection will include new versions of Genie in a Bottle and titled Genie 2.0 and You Are What You Are (Beautiful), plus two brand new songs: Keeps Getting Better and The new tunes will serve as a sneak preview of Aguileras next studio album, which is due in summer 2009.
With my last album, I had music that was very 20s, 30s and 40s, and was very detailed and part of a very specific genre and sound, she told Billboard.com. But with this new album, I wanted to go in a completely opposite direction - a very futuristic, robotic sound and computer-sounding vocals. Im experimenting with my voice in ways Ive never done before, almost like a technical, computer-generated sound, which is different for me because Im the type of vocalist that just belts. Im always inspired by new things because I get bored.
Aguilera added that she is mainly working with producer Linda Perry, who also produced the new and remixed tracks on Keeps Getting Better. She said the new tracks boast futuristic sounds with beats driven more toward dance music and added that This time around, Im playing with this superhero element based on the fact that fans have grown up with me since I was 17 and have continually supported my changes throughout the years.Aguilera is planning to tour in 2009.

Abu Dhabi: Christina Aguilera confided to reporters at Emirates Palace here that her life wasn’t always full of happiness and success.
There were reasons, she said in a press conference on Thursday, for everything that she’s done in the past.
“As a woman I think it’s important to be expressive of all facets of myself including my sexuality, so it’s an empowering thing for me,” said the Latina diva ahead of her Back to Basics concert on Friday at Emirates Palace.
“As an artist I would never hold back expressing myself in ways I see fit, especially now that I’ve become a mother. It’s important to maintain the person that I was before I became a mother so I can share with my son (Max) everything that I’m about and proud of.”
She said she is glad that she was able to go through the experience so that “I can teach my son not to be closed minded and give women the respect that they deserve as far as being able to express themselves and not feel that they have to live up to society’s certain standards”.
For several years, she has been involved in charity work to help children and bring awareness to domestic violence.
“Growing up in a household that had a lot of that going on, it is something I’m very passionate about trying to get back and bring awareness to,” the 27-year-old pop star said.
Talking about her music, she said her new album will present all new material. She’s also releasing a Greatest Hits record in November with three bonus tracks which give a sneak peak of the new album, “a 180 from the last record Back to Basics, going into the old and paying tribute to the soul, jazz and blues music that inspired me and that I love so very much,” she said.
The new album is inspired from pop art, including Andy Warhol, and the visual direction that comes with it.
“I never like to do the same things twice, period - either creatively or personally. I continue to be inspired by new things that I can in turn experiment and push forward with new and innovative ideas. I find to not change is very stifling and I get bored easily.
“As much success as I ever feel fortunate enough to have received in my life, working hard for it, there are still so many more things that I have yet to do and goals to accomplish. Staying hungry is very important for me,” Aguilera said.
“I’m thrilled to be giving my first concert here tomorrow night. It’s going to be a great show, for the whole family, for your friends. It’s a feel-good show,” she said.
Los Angeles musician Taleen Kalbian, 21, who will open the concert for Aguilera, was present at the press conference.
Half-Armenian and half-Palestinian, Kalbian said she is a big fan of Aguilera and opening for her is a dream come true.

Oh dear, he WILL be in trouble when Kate Middleton finds out her Prince Charming spent the night getting Dirrty with two showgirls.
We watched Prince William snuggle up to pop star Christina Aguilera and socialite Paris Hilton in the VIP room at Whisky Mist in London’s Mayfair.
The night was a right royal knees-up. We got there at midnight to see Wills, 26, and Prince Harry, 24, necking vodka cocktails and singing cheesy pop songs.
They and their cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, appeared to be on a mission to be the last royal standing. And it wasn’t long before they invited us to join the party. “Are you having a good night?” asked King caner Wills, while Eugenie got up and danced on the table.
Her wildly swinging arms meant it was nearly a case of “off with our heads”. Still, at least she had an excuse – she and Beatrice had begun boozing early at a slap-up dinner at Zuma to celebrate mum Fergie’s 49th birthday.
Harry was also in high spirits, play-fighting with his girlfriend Chelsy Davy. But in the midst of all the fun, lonely Wills suddenly put down his glass and said: “Excuse me, ladies, I’m just going to say hi to Christina.

Ive often wondered when wed see a celebrity version of Deal or No Deal. Sure, we get to see special celebrity guests and had a celebrity case model, but there havent been any famous faces playing the game for charity yet. Well, this exact scenario is about to happen, with a very big celebrity playing the game, only its going to happen in Turkey.
Grammy-winning pop star Christina Aguilera has agreed to play the Turkish version of Deal, called Var Misin Yok Musun, where she will also perform two of her songs for the audience. The show has been recorded and will air on October 19th. Apparently Aguilera was impressed with the host of the Turkish game, and appreciates that the format there is a little looser and more fun.
The U.S. version of Deal or No Deal revolves almost entirely around the contestants and their lives and circumstances, so that could be why we havent had a celeb playing the game yet. But I could still see it happening, with the focus of the show on the charity involved. Would you like to see something like this, or do you prefer ordinary contestants playing for themselves?

4 time Grammy Award winner singer Christina Aguilera whose albums sold over 40 million accepted Acun Ilicalis invitation for her to compete in Deal or No Deal.
She will compete on October 19th Sunday for orphaned kids.
Aguilera who knows the original Deal or No Deal, told her manager after watching an episode that the Turkish version was much more fun, and the host was very sympathetic. Although she was to be in London after her concert in 19th October, she changed her plan and decided to go to Istanbul. She wont just be competing in October 19th, but she will also perform 2 of her songs.
Sorry for the rough translation.
